Maurice Edington, Ph.D., serves as provost and vice president for Academic Affairs at FAMU, and he provides oversight and leadership for all of the University’s academic programs.

Provost Edington previously served as FAMU's vice president for strategic planning, analysis, and institutional effectiveness and was responsible for overseeing the University’s assessment, accreditation, academic program quality, institutional research, reporting and strategic planning functions.
